Deanna was born in Belleville, Ontario on the beautiful Bay of Quinte where she spent her childhood. She began her interest in drawing and painting in highschool. And, later studied Advertising and Graphic Arts at Sheridan College near Toronto.
Deanna's interests has always been with painting and considers herself self-taught even though she has attended workshops by different artists. She continues to look for inspiration from nature and wildlife.
Her style of painting is realistic and colourful. She has been influenced mostly by Robert Bateman and like him considers her paintings a labour of love.
